Good news!
We are delighted to tell the world that we have received funding from the Council's capital budget and other sources to provide another slide, an aerial runway, a picnic table and another path.
We hope that work on these things will begin in the autumn, making our park even better.

Wild flowers
Things have been ticking along nicely on Gores Marsh- everyday people walk their dogs there, play in the playground, kick a ball about and enjoy the green space.
This summer we have also been admiring the wild flower beds, which have been provided (without cost to the Gores Mrshalls or the Council) as part of a project to monitor insect numbers. What a stunning display!

The grand unveiling
On Sunday, the Lord Mayor visited Gores Marsh and unveiled the new mosaic.
The sun shone on us and all the children, teachers and parents who came to watch. A big 'thank you' from the Gores Marshalls to the children who worked so hard on it. We hope you'll visit the park to admire it for many years to come.
Here is the moment itself.....

Art in the Park
From March there will be a fabulous mosaic in the park, made by pupils from Ashton Vale, Luckwell, Compass Point and Ashton Park schools, together with the artist David Bowers.
Have a look at the Ashton Park website for more photos of the work in progress.
