Dogs, sunshine and cakes

The fete back in July was a great success! The sun shone and hundreds of people came to help us raise money for future projects in the park.

The highlight of the day was the dog show. The number of dogs who came to show off their skills was fantastic- and they kept us thoroughly entertained with their antics.

Thanks to the generosity of local residents, there were plenty of tombola prizes and bricabrac to browse through. Volunteers had been baking, so there was a fabulous selection of cakes and biscuits to have with our cups of tea.

The Gores Marshalls would like to say a big thank you to everyone who helped out on stalls, made cakes, stewarded and who came along to support Gores Marsh Park. We couldn't have done it without you!

PS There are lots more photos on our flickr site.
